South African tourist dies at Lucknow hospital
A South African national who came to India as a tourist died at Lucknow's King George's Medical University on Tuesday.71-year-old Rabi Mathew, who came to India with 33 people on tour, felt unwell on Monday night, after which he was shifted to the hospital.Mathew's body has been sent for post-mortem. His wife has not filed any police complaint, informing them that her husband passed away due to the illness.

Actor-director Nandita Das Tuesday broke her silence over the sexual harassment allegations against her father, noted painter Jatin Das, stating that she will continue to lend support to the #MeToo movement. A woman, who is the co-founder of a paper-making company, Tuesday came forward to claim that she was sexually harassed 14 years ago by Jatin Das, allegations which the painter dismissed as "vulgar". Rathore eulogises para athletes at awards function, calls them true icon
Describing them as "true icons" of the country, the government on Tuesday felicitated the medal winners at the just-concluded Asian Para Games with cash awards at par with able bodied athletes, following India's record haul in the Continental event. The gold medal winners were given a cash award of Rs 30 lakh each, while silver and bronze medallists took home Rs 20 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively. Pippa Middleton, the sister of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, has given birth to a baby boy, Kensington Palace said on Tuesday. The 35-year-old author and columnist had married hedge fund manager James Matthews, 43, last year and their first child was born at St Mary's Hospital in London on Monday. 2 killed in road mishap in Kaushambi
Two persons, including a minor, were killed after they were hit by a roadways bus at Kokhraj area here Tuesday, police said. Bhuvan Singh (40) and his nephew Shivam (5) were killed on the spot when the bus hit them, police said, adding that the two were crossing the road at the time of the accident. In the incident ,Singh's wife and son were also injured. Efforts are on to nab the accused bus driver, who fled the scene after the mishap, police said.

Ex-Congress MLA Kanwar Karan Singh said his son, who was shown a gun by the son of a former BSP MP at a five-star hotel here, was in "trauma" after the incident and that was the reason why he did not inform the police. Singh said they have recorded their statement with the police and have full faith in the law of the land. "We have given our version to police and submitted our written statement. We were in trauma after the incident. My son was shown a gun and he was in fear and that is why we did not lodge a complaint before," he told PTI. The former Congress MLA said he did not believe in violence. "My son was numb with fear after he was shown a gun. We do not believe in violence and stay away form indulging in fights. Police have started their investigation and we believe in them," he said.
