TN CM lays foundation stone for Jaya memorial

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam today laid the foundation stone for a memorial 'mandapam' of late J Jayalalithaa here abutting her burial site on the Marina beachfront. Palaniswami placed the first brick for the construction on the ground, and Panneerselvam the second, marking the formal inauguration of work for the memorial at the beach complex. Cowell, 58, had a Silhouette Soft Lift -a procedure which involves sewing bioplastic-infused thread into the face and neck and tugging it to get rid of sagging skin. According to the Sun, the "X Factor" judge visited cosmetic surgeon Jean-Louis Sebagh, known as the "Picasso of dermatology", for a Silhouette Soft Lift. "There are lots of things you can do now. You don't just have to stuff your face with filler and botox. It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap. "For me now, it's all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff," Cowell told the publication. Tests show no hidden Tutankhamun chambers: ministry

Egypt's antiquities ministry said today that tests had debunked a theory that there are hidden chambers next to the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings. Experts used ground penetrating radar (GPR) which provided "conclusive evidence of the non-existence of hidden chambers adjacent to or inside Tutankhamun's tomb," the ministry said in a statement. More details will be announced in a speech later in the day by the head of an Italian scientific team, Francesco Porcelli, of the Polytechnic University in Turin, the statement said. It said Porcelli had submitted a report that "concluded, with a very high degree of confidence... the hypothesis concerning the existence of hidden chambers or corridors adjacent to Tutankhamun's tomb is not supported by GPR data." Previous scans had suggested the possibility of hidden chambers, although experts disagreed on the results. The Delhi High Court has granted divorce to a man holding that his estranged wife's false allegation of illicit relation between him and his widowed sister-in-law amounted to cruelty. Holding that the allegations of illicit relations were not true, Justice J R Midha granted divorce to the man while setting aside a trial court's order of judicial separation of the couple who were married in 1978 and were residing in London. A decree of judicial separation does not dissolve a marriage and gives the couple time to introspect about their relationship and decide if they want to get back together, unlike a divorce which marks an end to marriage. Both the man and woman had challenged the trial court decision by separate appeals.
