Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) G Kishan Reddy invited US businesses and companies to invest in India's vibrant and diverse tourism sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called Union Home Minister Amit Shah from France and enquired about the flood-like situation in parts of Delhi, sources said. During their telephonic conversation, Shah briefed Modi about the flood-like situation and told him that the water level in the Yamuna is expected to recede in the next 24 hours, they said. A court here on Thursday directed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP's Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh to appear before it on July 26 in connection with a criminal defamation case over their "sarcastic" and "derogatory" statements with regard to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree.
