66 Arunachal villages along Myanmar border to be developed under VVP: CM

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday said 66 villages in the state along the Indo-Myanmar border have been identified for development under the Centre's Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP). These villages fall within Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts of the frontier state, Khandu said in a post on social media. He said while 42 villages are located in Changlang district, 13 are in Longding and 11 in Tirap district. Terming the initiative as last-mile development', Khandu wrote that focus will be on roads, telecom, electricity, livelihoods and skill development. According to the 2011 census, Wakka village in Longding has the highest population among the selected villages with over 2,000 residents, followed by Gandhigram in Changlang with 1,754 people and Khanu in Longding with 1,629. Arunachal Pradesh witnessed accelerated growth since 2016: CM Khandu

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the state has experienced rapid development since 2016, attributing it to the government's policies of "reformation, performance, and transformation". Speaking at a developmental meeting at Shergaon in West Kameng district on Sunday, Khandu outlined the significant progress in GSDP, state budget, per capita income, GST collection, and state-owned resources since he assumed office in 2016. "Reformation, performance, and transformation are driving Arunachal Pradesh on a path of accelerated development," Khandu said, highlighting a 135 per cent increase in GSDP since 2016. Increase in enrolment rate in elementary education in Arunachal: CM Khandu

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday said there has been an increase in the enrolment rate in elementary education and a reduction in the dropout rate at the secondary level in the state. Arunachal govt signs MoU with Delhi's ILBS for cashless treatment

The Arunachal Pradesh government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Delhi's Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences for extending cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries of the state's Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana. Arunachal CM announces master plan for development of twin capital cities

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday said the state government is preparing a master plan for the long-term development of the twin capital cities, Itanagar and Naharlagun. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday urged the Centre to increase flight connectivity from Donyi Polo Airport near here to improve connectivity, tourism and commerce in the northeastern state. Newly elected MLAs of Arunachal Pradesh took oath on Friday. Pro-tem Speaker Ninong Ering administered the oath to the newly elected members during the inaugural day of the two-day special session summoned by Governor Lt Gen (Retd.) K T Parnaik. Khandu approves Rs 100 cr under CM's Social Security Scheme in Arunachal

Hours after being sworn in, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday signed his first official document, approving the release of Rs 100 crore under the Chief Minister's Social Security Scheme (CMSSS) which will benefit approximately 80,000 people across the state.
