Will BJP order CBI probe into paper leak incidents in MP: Ashok Gehlot

Amid the opposition BJP's demand of a CBI inquiry into incidents of paper leak in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday asked if the saffron party was ready to order a probe into similar incidents in its party-ruled Madhya Pradesh. He said the recruitment of contractual staff nurses of the National Health Mission in Madhya Pradesh was cancelled due to paper leak. He said such incidents in Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir and other states in the past few days are a matter of serious concern. There is a need to find a solution to the countrywide problem of paper leaks. Will the BJP get a CBI inquiry into the paper leak in Madhya Pradesh? he tweeted. The opposition BJP in Rajasthan has been targeting the Gehlot government in the state over the incidents of paper leak, and has demanded a CBI inquiry. In December last, second grade teachers recruitment paper was leaked following which it was cancelled. Papers of various competitive exams had also leaked in the state.

Gujarat junior clerk exam cancelled after question paper leak; 1 detained

The Gujarat government's competitive examination for the recruitment of junior clerks was cancelled hours before it was scheduled on Sunday over its question paper leak and police detained a suspect in this connection, the state panchayat exam board said. As many as 9.5 lakh candidates had registered for the exam for 1,181 posts which was to be held at 2,995 centres across the state. Based on a tip-off, police detained a suspect and recovered a copy of the question paper of the exam early Sunday morning, after which the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board decided to "postpone" the exam in the wider interest of the candidates, the board said in a statement. Paper leak accused, cheating gang may be booked under NSA: Rajasthan Police

Rajasthan Police chief Umesh Mishra on Saturday said that the police is considering booking cheating and paper leak gangs under National Security Act. The Director General of Police said that the records of those who facilitate cheating would be scrutinised and strict legal action would be taken against them. Mishra in a statement also said that an amendment allowing police to seize the property of criminals involved in cheating gangs has been suggested in the Prevention of Anti Social Activities Act-2018 (PASA). According to the PASA, a person can be detained for a period of up to one year without any public disclosure. He said that the state Police is ready to conduct recruitment exams in a clean and fair manner. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday said the leak of teacher recruitment exam paper was unfortunate and promised a strict action against the culprits. Gehlot said that Rajasthan is the only state in the country which has taken prompt and strict action in such matters. The new date for the Saturday paper will be released soon, he said. Rajasthan 2nd grade teacher recruitment exam paper leaked; 44 held

At least 44 people, including 37 students and seven experts, were arrested in Rajasthan's Udaipur district in connection with the paper leak a few hours before the 2nd grade teacher recruitment examination was to begin across the state on Saturday, police said. The general knowledge examination for teacher recruitment to be conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) been cancelled now. Among those arrested include the alleged mastermind of the paper leak, Suresh Vishnoi, a resident of Jodhpur, police said. Nearly seven lakh candidates on Sunday appeared in the TET examination conducted by the WBBPE to fill up around 11,000 vacancies for primary teacher posts in West Bengal government-sponsored and aided schools. The West Bengal Board of Primary Education Board (WBBPE) conducted the Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) examination after a gap of five years in 1,460 examination centres across the state amid tight security arrangements, officials said. West Bengal govt orders CID probe into DElEd question paper leak case

The West Bengal government on Tuesday ordered a probe by state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) into the alleged Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) paper leak, a senior official said. "The CID has been asked to probe the DElEd paper leak and file the report quickly," the official told PTI. Allegations were levelled that the paper was leaked around an hour-and-a-half before the examination started on Monday.
