It's unbelievable: Kohli on Chahal-Yadav spin web

India skipper Virat Kohli says wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been simply "unbelievable" in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa but remained non-committal on whether they will become Test regulars anytime soon. Chahal and Yadav have combined for 21 wickets in the first three ODIs of the ongoing six-match series. The South Africans have conceded that they have yet to get a hang of the duo, which has tormented the hosts continuously. As far as the Test format goes, Yadav made his debut in the longest version last year against Australia and has appeared in a couple of matches so far. Chahal, on the other hand, is yet to get a call-up in the five-dayers. "We knew they would pick up wickets (here) because these guys have bowled in flatter batting tracks at home. Some might think they have bowled in T20 cricket when the conditions are very difficult and they have picked up wickets on a regular basis there as well," Kohli said after a 124-run win

We need to re-work our plan against Chahal, Yadav: Duminy

Bamboozled by Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the ongoing ODI series, South Africa middle- order batsman JP Duminy said the Proteas need to go back to the drawing board and re-work their plan to tackle the Indian wrist-spin duo. Chasing India's 303 for six, South Africa once again surrendered before Chahal (4/46) and Yadav (4/23) to end way behind at 170 all out in 40 overs. The hosts lost the third ODI by 124 runs to surrender an unassailable 3-0 lead in the six-match series. "What they've done really well is assess the conditions in terms of what they need to do, what sort of speed and length they need to bowl. They (Chahal and Yadav) haven't made it easy for us to get singles," Duminy said. "A lot of us have not picked their googlies. We've not been good enough. They've bowled well enough not to let us play according to our game plan. We've got to come up with different ways of countering them. They've outplayed us in all departments," he added. Duminy said with

Don't know what I'do on the field without intensity: Kohli

Intensity is the hallmark of his batting and India captain Virat Kohli says he has no idea what he would do if that was gone, the primary reason behind his obsessive focus of physical fitness. The 29-year-old run-machine slammed his 34th one-day hundred in the third ODI against South Africa yesterday, once again playing a pivotal role in a massive India win. "Look I am going to be 30 this year...I want to play this kind of cricket even when I am 34-35. That's why I train so much because I am a guy who likes to play with intensity. Once that is gone, I don't know what I am going to do on the field," Kohli said reflecting on his unbeaten knock of 160, which guided India to a 124-run triumph for an unassailable 3 -0 lead in the series. "I try to protect that. I try to train as much as I can. Keep a check on my diet. Those things pay off on days like these. When the team needs it, and you stand up, and you are able to pull through. As an athlete you crave for days like ...

Last night's win, thus, took India one step closer to a maiden series triumph in South Africa. It was the 34th ODI hundred for the Indian captain, who is now 15 shy of Sachin Tendulkar's mark of 49. Kohli has been simply unstoppable in the 50-over format of late and today's match-winning effort was his fourth three-figure score in the last six ODIs. It was also his second hundred of the series and third of the tour. While most Indian batsmen struggled after South Africa opted to bowl, Kohli made batting look easy. Rough start for Russians as Pyeongchang Winter Olympics open

Olympic athletes from Russia (OAR) made their debut at the 2018 Olympics today but were routed by the United States as mixed doubles curling launched competition at the Pyeongchang Games. Americans brother and sister Matt and Becca Hamilton ripped the husband-and-wife team of Aleksandr Krushelnitckii and Anastasia Bryzgalova 9-3 in the first Pyeongchang Games result -- and in Olympic history for the debut event. The Russians entered under the Olympic flag as their homeland's banner and anthem were banned along with many athletes in the wake of major doping violations at the Sochi 2014 Olympics. "I'm sure they are a little bit bummed they don't get to wear a Russian flag," Matt Hamilton said. "But that's life. You've got to take what you are given. At least they are at the Olympics." The Hamiltons jumped ahead 3-0 and needed only seven of eight ends to take the most lopsided win of the opening round-robin session. "We knew we had strong competition in the opening match ..
