We do not share user data with third-parties, govt: Paytm
Digital payments company Paytm today said it does not share data of its users with any third-party or government. "We never share your (user) data with anyone: any company/ any government or any country. At Paytm, your data is yours. Not ours, or of a third party, or of the government," Paytm said in a blogpsot today. It added that its policy allows only legally-compliant data requests from the law of the land to get access to data for necessary investigations. It referred to a video going around on social media and said the video falsely claims that Paytm shared some data with third parties. "Nothing can be further from the truth," it said adding that in the past, it has neither received requests nor shared any data without a legally-compliant request from a bonafide agency and through proper process and channels. JLR India launches petrol variants of Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque
Jaguar Land Rover India today launched petrol engine variants of its popular SUVs, Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque with prices starting at Rs 49.20 lakh and Rs 51.06 lakh, respectively. The new vehicles will be powered by the company's 'Ingenium' 2-litre petrol engine that produces 184 kW of peak power and mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the company said in a statement. Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today launched automatic transmission variant with petrol engine option of its premium hatchback, Elite i20 with price starting at Rs 7.04 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With the launch, the company is looking to tap growing sales of automatic transmission options in premium compact segment which has risen to 14 per cent in 2018 from 4 per cent in 2015. NIC sets up cloud-enabled National Data Centre in Bhubaneswar
IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is all set to inaugurate, on May 28, a cloud-enabled National Data Centre at Bhubaneswar, which will offer round-the-clock operations with secure hosting for e-governance applications of ministries and departments. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has set up the data centre at Bhubaneswar, an official release said. The NIC has national data centres at Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune, and the upcoming one at Bhubaneswar is expected to enhance the range of data centre related services offered by the government body. "A centralised cloud environment has been established to host multiple applications with simplified operations and increased application responsiveness to support the new generation of distributed applications...," the release said.
