Cong govt ended darkness' in 11 months of rule in T'gana: CM Revanth Reddy

During the last 11 months, the Congress government in Telangana has reversed an air of gloom and despair under the previous BRS regime and ended the "darkness", Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said on Saturday. Telangana to start caste survey from Nov 4-5, complete by Nov 30: Minister

The Telangana government is expected to start a caste survey in the state from November 4-5 and it is likely to be completed by November 30, minister Ponnam Prabhakar said on Saturday. Prabhakar was addressing the media after a cabinet meeting during which a proforma for the caste survey was approved. He said the exercise is being taken up in line with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's commitment to conduct a caste survey in the state as well as across the nation. Prabhakar said 80,000 government employees will be roped in for conducting the survey and they will be appropriately trained for it. According to a resolution passed by the Telangana Assembly, the state cabinet has approved the proforma for the caste survey which is expected to be completed by November 30. The actual enumeration, covering every household, is likely to start from November 4 or 5, he said. All the data collected will be kept in public domain, he said. BRS leader KT Rama Rao alleges scam in Telangana's Musi river rejuvenation

BRS working president K T Rama Rao on Friday alleged a scam in the Musi river rejuvenation, claiming that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in Telangana enhanced the project cost to Rs 1.50 lakh crore from Rs 16,000 crore planned by the previous BRS government. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments that farmers in the state are still waiting for loan waivers, and said that the crop loan waiver scheme is being implemented successfully in the state. ED searches Telangana minister Reddy's premises in money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate on Friday raided multiple premises linked to Telangana revenue minister P Srinivasa Reddy and some others as part of a money laundering case linked to an alleged smuggling racket of more than Rs 100 crore, official sources said. About five premises in the state, including Hyderabad, are being searched, they said. The money laundering case stems from a Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) complaint against Reddy's son, Harsha Reddy of the Raghav Group, who is alleged to have purchased seven watches worth Rs 7 crore. The payments for these are linked to an alleged hawala and crypto currency racket worth Rs 100 crore and a man named A Naveen Kumar is under the scanner of the ED. Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, a Congress leader, is the minister for Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations in the Telangana government.

SC refuses to transfer trial in 2015 cash-for-vote case involving T'gana CM

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to transfer the trial in the 2015 cash-for-vote case, involving Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and others, from Telangana to Bhopal. Telangana government plans to spend Rs 4,000 crore over the next five years towards various initiatives to develop Micro Small, Medium and Enterprises in the state, said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who unveiled the "Telangana MSME Policy 2024" on Wednesday. According to the new policy, to accelerate the growth of MSMEs, the state government has identified six trust areas for improvement improving availability, accessibility and affordability of land, facilitating access to finance, ensuring easy access to raw materials, improving flexibility in labour markets, encouraging adoption of technology and enhancing access to markets.
