Envision Energy secures 653 MW wind energy project from JSW Energy

Envision Energy on Thursday said it has secured a 653.4 megawatt (MW) wind project from JSW Energy. The project is expected to be commissioned in a phased manner by 2024-end and produce 2,200 gigawatt hour (GWh) units of clean energy, contributing towards India's aim of achieving its net-zero emission goals, Envision said in a statement. "Envision Energy has won an order from JSW Energy for developing a 653.4 MW wind energy park in Karnataka and Maharashtra. As per the order, Envision would provide 198 units of EN 156-3.3 MW WTGs (wind turbine generator)," the statement said. The association with JSW Energy would play a pivotal role in ramping up renewable energy capacity in Karnataka and Maharashtra, Envision said. Suzlon bags 31.5-MW wind energy project from Integrum Energy Infrastructure

Renewable energy solution provider Suzlon Group on Thursday announced that it has bagged an order from Integrum Energy Infrastructure for the development of a 31.5-MW wind energy project. The company did not disclose the value of the order. Suzlon will execute the project with a scope of supply, installation, and commissioning, the company said in a statement. Additionally, it said that Suzlon will offer post-commissioning operation and maintenance services. Torrent Power commissions 115 MW wind energy project in Gujarat's Dwarka

Torrent Power on Wednesday said one of its subsidiaries has commissioned a 115 MW wind project in Devbhumi Dwarka district of Gujarat. Torrent Solargen was awarded the project through a competitive bidding under SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) Wind Tranche V, a company statement said. The company signed a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years with SECI which has a back-to-back Power Sale Agreement (PSA) with Haryana. Wind turbines for the project have been sourced from GE. With the addition of 115 MW wind power, Torrent Power's installed renewable capacity has reached 1.18 GW, and total generation to 4.2 GW. Torrent Power, with a turnover of Rs 25,694 crore is the integrated power utility of Torrent Group. It has presence across the entire power value chain of generation, transmission, and distribution.

Industry body WIPPA on Friday suggested four measures to boost progress in the wind energy sector. Renewable energy solution provider Suzlon on Thursday announced that it has bagged a 39-MW wind power project from Thermax Group company First Energy. This order is part of a 100-MW wind-solar hybrid project by First Energy 5 Pvt Ltd, a company statement said. Suzlon will install 13 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW each. The project, to be located at Thalaikattupuram, Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, is expected to be commissioned in 2024. As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and supervise the project including erection and commissioning. Clean energy solutions provider Amplus Solar on Friday announced an association with EverRenew, an NTC group company, to set up a 200 MWp open-access solar power plant at Tuticorin, in Tamil Nadu. The 200MWp plant is expected to generate approximately 450 million units of green electricity in the first year of its operation itself, a company statement stated. The wind-solar hybrid plant in Tamil Nadu is Amplus' second open-access project in the state, it said. "We are happy to set up our first wind and solar hybrid with an experienced partner, EverRenew, in the state.
