'CM Yogi likely to expand UP cabinet today with 2 new BJP ministers'

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to expand his cabinet on Tuesday with the induction of two new faces from the BJP, one from RLD and another from Om Prakash Rajbhar's party SBSP, sources in the Chief Minister's Office said. This will be the first cabinet expansion in Adityanath's second term as chief minister. Sources said that BJP leader Dara Singh Chauhan, who returned to the saffron party after a stint with the Samajwadi Party last year, and BJP MLA from Sahibabad Sunil Kumar Sharma are likely to be ministers. RLD MLA from Purakzi in Muzaffarnagar district Anil Kumar and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief OP Rajbhar are also likely to take oath this evening. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday either inaugurated or laid the foundation of 48 development projects worth Rs 1,006 crore involving construction of highways and houses. Uttar Pradesh is set to witness a boom in the real estate sector with the launch of projects worth over Rs 50,000 crore which will also see creation of a significant number of jobs for the youth in the state, the government said on Thursday. These real estate projects were launched during the recently-concluded ground-breaking ceremony in Lucknow and include key works in Noida and Ayodhya, the state government said in a statement. 24 die as tractor-trolley falls in UP's Kasganj, CM announces compensation

Twenty-four people, including eight children, died when their tractor-trolley overturned and fell into a pond in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district on Saturday morning, police said. They said 15 to 20 people were injured in the accident that occurred on the Patiyali-Dariyavganj road under the Patiyali police station area when the occupants of the tractor-trolley were going to take a bath in the Ganga river. Inspector General of Aligarh Range Shalabh Mathur said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of lives in the accident and announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of each of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. 15 held for planning unfair means in constable recruitment exam in UP

Fifteen people were arrested on Saturday for allegedly planning to use unfair means in the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board exam for recruitment of constables. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Dhananjay Kushwaha said, "We have arrested these men for planning to use unfair means in the exam. The accused are being questioned. The arrest was made by the surveillance team of the Kotwali police station." The officer declined to comment on the modus operandi of the arrested accused.
