Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 19 (ANI): Ahead of this year’s Assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait on January 18 in Prayagraj said that he will not support anyone in this year’s elections, and claimed that the recognition towards the farmers by the political parties is the biggest victory of the farmers' agitation. “Matters related to farmers and the organisation were discussed in 3-day brainstorming session. The biggest victory of the farmers' agitation is that political parties now think about them. We will not support anyone in this election,” Rakesh Tikait said.
Dona Paula (Goa), Jan 19 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) declared Amit Palekar as the party's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Goa Assembly Polls on January 19. While making the announcement, the party's National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that Amit Palekar is an advocate by profession and comes from the Bhandari community. Legislative Assembly Elections will be held in Goa on February 14, 2022 to elect 40 members of the Goa Legislative Assembly. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on March 10, 2022.
South Goa, Jan 19 (ANI): Senior leader of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Praful Patel on January 18 said that NCP and Congress party aren’t in talks regarding the upcoming Goa Assembly Elections when asked about their alliance. “Congress thinks it can fight the Goa Assembly elections on its own. It is up to them. We are not talking to them anymore. NCP and Shiv Sena will fight this election together. NCP will definitely win a few seats in Goa,” said NCP leader.
Mathura (UP), Jan 19 (ANI): In a dramatic turn of event, with just a few weeks left before commencement of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Mathura SK Sharma alleged that the party has betrayed him and he has decided to resign from all the post in the party. “I have been working for BJP for past 5 years and spent crores of rupees but they betrayed me. My target was to get 1.25 lakh votes in the upcoming election. I have decided to resign from all posts in BJP, it's not the same party anymore,” said leader SK Sharma on not getting a ticket from BJP.
New Delhi, Jan 19 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Delhi on January 18 to participate in the BJP Central Election Committee meeting to be held tomorrow. Speaking to ANI, CM Dhami in Delhi said, “We have put all the names in front of our Central Election Committee, now the final decision will be that of the committee.”
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Jan 18 (ANI): After addressing a public meeting virtually on January 18, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he will be participating in the BJP Central Election Committee meeting on January 19. The BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) will meet on January 19 to finalise candidates for Goa, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh Elections. Shortlisted names of the candidates recommended to the CEC have been already discussed by the top leadership with the state units. Names for Goa, and Uttarakhand are to be approved and names for a few more phases of Uttar Pradesh will be approved by the CEC on January 19.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 18 (ANI): Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on January 18 said that the party has included 300 units of free electricity in their election manifesto. “The Samajwadi Party has included it in its manifesto to provide 300 units of free electricity. The campaign for this will be started from tomorrow. The registered name on the electricity bill will be filled in the form under this campaign,” he added.
New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, Nishad Party founder Sanjay Nishad on January 18 in Delhi said that the party will soon announce the names of candidates for all the seats. “Names of all the seats will be announced in two to four days, after our meeting today,” the party founder said. “We are working to win the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls and have no problem in giving the seats to BJP,” he added.

The Punjab Assembly Elections will be held on February 20.

Yogi must win election from (Gorakhpur) as we need strong opposition in the State,” said Tikait. The polling in UP will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 17 (ANI): Bhartiya kisan Union (BKU) national president Naresh Tikait on January 16 issued a clarification on his appeal to vote for SP-RLD alliance in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Polls. Speaking to ANI, BKU chief Naresh Tikait said, "I said something that I shouldn't have. Kisan Samyukt Morcha is supreme and I am not above it. What's the need? He can just convey his message,” said Raut.

Farming issues will be solved after discussing with the farmer community. The trading system will be streamlined and simplified,” the AAP convenor said. “We will provide Rs 1000 to every woman above 18 years of age. The tourism sector will be developed as per international standards. Goa will have 24/7 free electricity and water. Roads will be improved and free education will be given in all government schools,” he further added.

AAP is fresh hope. They didn't have any choice except BJP/Congress earlier, they want a change and are frustrated,” the AAP Convenor said. “AAP has developed a 13-point agenda for the Goa public. Employment will be provided to youth, those who do not get an employment will get aid of Rs 3000 per month. Mining has huge vested interest, we will provide land rights in 6 months of coming into power,” he further added. Goa Assembly Election will be held on February 14.
