"There is no provision to deliver liquor online to households. The online system is to curb theft that used to happen; it's for goods that are supplied to warehouses from factories," said Cabinet Minister Brajendra Singh Rathore while taking on new excise policy of state.

CCTV cameras installed in Agra for US Prez Trump visit

Born for less than 70 hours, infant becomes youngest donor in Chandigarh's PGIMER

Chandigarh, Feb 23 (ANI): A new born in Chandigarh became probably the youngest organ donor. The infant who lived for less than 70 hours, became the youngest ever organ donor in PGIMER's transplant history. The child has defects which made hi incompatible with life. After learning about the child's condition, parents decided to donate organ. The head of Department Renal Transplant Surgery, Prof Ashish Sharma said, "I salute the family who thought about the situation. Even after so much tragedy they considered benefitting others."

Bhim Army chief leads march against SC's ruling on reservation in Aurangabad

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Feb 23 (ANI): Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad, on February 23, led march against the Supreme Court ruling on reservation. The march was held in Aurangabad. Property dealer shot dead in UP's Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur (UP), Feb 23 (ANI): A property dealer was shot dead allegedly by the two people over property dispute on Feb 22. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur. An FIR has been registered in the matter. While speaking to ANI, a police official said, "On the basis of family, FIR has been registered against two in the matter. Police investigation is on."

Man allegedly tied with leash, beaten by wife's relatives

Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 23 (ANI): A man was tied leash, dragged and beaten allegedly by the relatives of his wife. The incident took place on May 16, 2019. Victim has lodged a complaint in police and orders have been given to register an FIR. Speaking to ANI, the victim said, "Sir this incident took place in 2019. I had a court marriage with a girl in February 2018. These were relatives of my wife who attacked me brutally since they didn't approve our love marriage." CO Ghaziabad, Prabhat Kumar said, "As soon as the video came to our cognisance, we have given order to lodge an FIR after speaking to the victim. All the aspects will be kept in mind for the investigation. Strict action will be taken against all the people who are seen in the video. Action will be taken against individuals who are responsible for delaying the registration of FIR."

Women, children join rally against child abuse in Chennai

Chennai, Feb 23 (ANI): Hundreds of people took to streets to rally against child abuse in Chennai on February 23. The rally was led by Congress leader and social activist Apsara Reddy. Hundreds of women and children participated in the rally carrying placard against child abuse. The rally was also joined by H Jayalakshmi, Deputy Commissioner for Crimes against Women and Children wing. Speaking at the rally, Jayalakshmi said, "We have gathered today for the rally against child abuse both online and offline. Child abuse goes beyond sexual abuse, it may be emotional, mental, physical or sexual. It encompasses much wider gamut of actions."
