Patna (Bihar), Nov 27 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed a public gathering in Patna on Liquor Prohibition. He said the ban in state has changed people's life in Bihar. While admitting obvious loopholes in the liquor ban, Kumar said continuous efforts are needed to implement the policy strictly. On 26 November 2015, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that alcohol would be banned in the state from 1 April 2016. Kumar officially declared the total ban on 5 April 2016.

NCP leader Praful Patel and Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray also came along with Ajit. NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal said that the party leaders have requested Ajit Pawar to come back to home (in National Congress Party) and talk to Sharad Pawar. Puducherry (Tamil Nadu), Nov 26 (ANI): Transgender activist Kalki Subramaniam painted legendary actress Sridevi's portraits which were displayed in a digital artwork exhibition held in Tamil Nadu's Puducherry. Several portraits including 'Queen with a golden rose' were displayed in the exhibition. Several visitors walked in and appreciated the artwork. "Her death was a disaster for me. I still don't believe she is no more. I wanted to pay tribute to wonderful talent so I got the idea to do her 80s and 90s image," said the artist. The legendary actress passed away in Dubai on February 24, 2018.
Mumbai, Nov 26 (ANI): After the joint Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress meeting, NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik informed that Uddhav Thackeray was unanimously elected as the leader of 'Maha Vikas Aghadi' and he will definitely become Chief Minister of Maharashtra. "Uddhav Thackeray will now go to Raj Bhavan and stake his claim to form govt. If Governor accepts the claim, swearing-in ceremony will be held on 1st Dec at 5 at Shivaji Park, cabinet will also take oath," he added.

Anantnag (J-K), Nov 26 (ANI): The two civilians, who got injured in a grenade blast in Anantnag, succumbed to their injuries on November 26. The dreadful blast took place at Panchayat Ghar Hakura in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. Security forces cordoned the area after the blast. Further investigation is underway.

New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Equity indices lost hold on early gains amid profit booking and ended lower on Tuesday after hitting a record high in the morning session. The BSE S-P Sensex closed 68 points lower at 40,821while the Nifty 50 slipped by 36 points to 12,038. Most sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the red with Nifty media falling by 3.6 per cent and IT by 1.2 per cent. Among stocks, Zee Entertainment Enterprises dropped by 7.34 per cent to close the day at Rs 318.55 per share, a day after the resignation of key managerial persons including Chairman Subhash Chandra. Bharti Infratel dropped by 6.5 per cent and Bharti Airtel by 4 per cent after reports emerged that the committee of secretaries that was to discuss floor price with the telecom regulator has been disbanded. New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Investment information company ICRA has downgraded Bharti Airtel Ltd's long-term rating from AA to AA-minus due to recognition of higher-than-anticipated provision after the Supreme Court judgment on dues payable towards license fees on adjusted gross revenues (AGR) and spectrum usage charge in the second fiscal quarter results. It said the ratings continue to remain under watch with negative implications. Separately, it also reaffirmed Bharti Airtel's commercial paper worth Rs 15,000 crore at A1-plus. As an interim relief, the government has announced deferment of auction installments for 2020-21 and 2021-22 which is expected to provide cash flow easing to the tune of Rs 5,500 crore per year for the next two years. He said, "We respect Supreme Court's order of carrying out a floor test tomorrow.
