Biodegradable sanitary napkins introduced in Shillong

Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 21 (ANI): A unique step was taken in Meghalaya's Shillong to make people aware of menstrual health. Women's College conducted a special program to make students aware about menstruation's hygiene products. As a part of the program, a vending machine for manufacturing biodegradable napkin was installed. This is for the first time that sanitary napkin vending machine was installed in the Women's College. Biodegradable napkin is made of banana stem fiber with no plastic and no chemicals.

We'll form government before Dec 01: Sanjay Raut

New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): Shiv Sena is all set to form a government in Maharashtra within this month only. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut Said on November 21 said that they will form government in Maharashtra before December 01. "The process to form government has started. It will be completed before December 01. All three parties will hold meeting in Mumbai," said Sanjay Raut. On being ask about on secularism issue and Sanjay Singh said "Balasaheb Thackeray also wanted that people should take oath of constitution rather than over any religious book in courts".

The organisation helps treatment of children with untreated clefts around the world. Aishwarya's father Krishnaraj Rai became a member of the NGO and through Aishwarya Rai Foundation helped in the treatment of 100 children. Every year, Aishwarya celebrates the 'Day of Smiles' on November 20 which is her father's birth anniversary.

Delhiites wake up to smoggy morning as air quality continues to deteriorate

New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): The air quality dipped further as national capital observed a smoggy morning. A thick layer of smog covered the India Gate. People were seen doing morning walk in the smog. Air quality index (AQI) data, as per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), this morning was major pollutant PM 2.5 at 297 ('Poor' category) at Lodhi Road and at 346 ('Very Poor' category) in the area around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The air pollution level of Delhi is worse due to stubble burning, crackers burning, etc.

Mumbai, Nov 21 (ANI): An auto-rickshaw driver runs 'Mumbai's first home system auto-rickshaw' providing excellent services in the city. Meet Satyawan Gite whose auto has equipped with facilities ranging from wash basin, mobile phone charging points, plants to desktop monitor etc. His motive behind this idea is to provide better and comfortable rides to passengers. While speaking to ANI, he said, "You can charge your phone in my auto, there is purified drinking water, there is wash basin. I also don't charge senior citizens for rides up to 1 km. The reason I did this is because I wanted to provide better services to passengers."

Watch: Bundles of currency notes showered from building in Kolkata during raid

Kolkata, Nov 21 (ANI): Bundles of currency notes were seen being thrown from a building at Bentinck Street in Kolkata on November 20. The incident happened when the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials were conducting a search at the office of Hoque Merchantile Pvt Ltd. In the video, bundles were seen being pushed out of a window in the sixth floor.

Uber to soon record audio during rides in the US

New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): As a safety measure, Uber will reportedly start recording audio during rides to identify any warning signs. The feature will be opt-in for users to activate audio recording on any trip or all trips, The Washington Post notes. Users will be able to report a safety incident along with the audio recording at the end of the trip. Uber plans to soon test the feature in the US.

5 Russian tourists detained for flying drone over Taj Mahal

Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police detained five Russian tourists in Agra on November 20 for flying a drone near Mehtab Bagh in the vicinity of Taj Mahal. "The tourists said that they weren't aware of the fact that flying drones wasn't allowed in the area. They are being interrogated. Madhya Pradesh govt to legalise cannabis cultivation in state

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Nov 21 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh government has decided to legalise the cultivation of cannabis in the state for medical and industrial purpose. Madhya Pradesh's Law Minister P.C. Sharma told reporters in Bhopal that Chief Minister Kamal Nath-led government will allow the farming of hemp - a type of marijuana - which will be used for medical purposes like in the treatment of cancer. Sharma added that the cultivated hemp will not be used for consumption or trading, and said the agricultural project will need international help.

A new study has highlighted that Yoga and physical therapy (PT) are effective approaches to treating the aforementioned conditions while reducing the need for medication. Published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, the research showed significant improvements in sleep quality lasting 52 weeks after 12 weeks of yoga classes or one-on-one PT, which suggests a long-term benefit of these non-pharmacologic approaches.
