Youths arrested for making TikTok video using pistol

Mandsaur (MP), Nov 20 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Police have apprehended two youths for using illegal pistol for making TikTok video. Youths identified as Rahul Gairi and Kanhaiya Lal brandished illegal pistol while riding a bike on a highway for making TikTok video. Police have lodged the case against both the youths under Arms Act.

Delhi's air quality dips to 'moderate' category

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): The air quality of national capital dipped to 'moderate' category on Nov 20. According to AQI at Lodhi Road, major pollutants PM 2.5 and PM 10 were at 210 and 205 respectively. It lies under 'moderate' category. Smoggy sky was witnessed near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and several other parts of Delhi.

Sanitary pads mandatory in factories, industries: Assam Industry Minister

Guwahati (Assam), Nov 20 (ANI): Assam's Minister for Transport, Industry and Commerce, Chandra Mohan Patowary announced that sanitary pads are mandatory in all factories and industries. Speaking on it, Chandra Mohan Patowary said, "Government has made it mandatory for all factories and industries in the state to keep sanitary pads for the welfare of the working women in the factories."

Delhi Police busts gang for manufacturing fake cumin

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): Police busted a gang which used to manufacture fake cumin in Bawana. The cumin wasn't even adulterated and was entirely fake. Speaking on it, DCP of Outer North Delhi, Gaurav Sharma told, "Police busted a gang which used to manufacture fake cumin in Bawana, the cumin wasn't even adulterated, it was entirely fake. They used grass, stone powder and sheera (jaggery residue) for making it."

Banned tobacco worth Rs 10 lakh seized in Andhra Pradesh

Krishna district (Andhra Pradesh), Nov 20 (ANI): Kanchikacherla Police seized banned tobacco from two cars in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district on November 19. Police seized tobacco worth over Rs 10 lakh. Eight people have been detained in the case. An FIR has been registered.

Bhutan Foreign Minister visits Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya

Apple introduces dedicated app for its developer community

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): Apple is introducing a new app for its developer community, called Apple Developer mobile app. As an expansion of Apple's existing WWDC conference, the app will also include technical and design articles, developer news and updates, videos and more, TechCrunch notes. It will further allow developers to sign up for the Apple Developer program and maintain their membership. The app is being soft-launched today in all worldwide markets, but membership management tools are only available in the US. It is available on iOS, including Apple Watch and iMessage.

Delhi's water quality cannot be judged on basis of 11 samples: Delhi Jal Board

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Delhi Jal Board Vice-Chairman Dinesh Mohaniya on Tuesday said that the 11 samples are not enough to decide whether the water is clean or dirty in Delhi. He said, "We will now collect over 3000 samples and will pick at least 5 samples from each ward for laboratory tests and results will be put out in public domain." Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on November 16 said that tap water in Delhi and several other cities did not comply with the requirements according to a study conducted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Kamal Haasan receives honorary doctorate from Odisha's Centurion University

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Nov 20 (ANI): Veteran actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan was conferred an honorary doctorate for his contribution to cinema, on November 19 in Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, presented the doctorate degree to Haasan at an event. The event was organised by Odisha's Centurion University of Technology and Management. Individuals exposed to CT scan radiation prone to thyroid cancer, leukemia

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): Individuals exposed to the radiation emanating from a CT scan are at an elevated risk of developing thyroid cancer and leukemia, a new study says. Moreover, researchers concluded that patients receiving CT scans had in general marked increases in the risk of developing thyroid cancer and leukemia, especially in female patients and patients younger than 45. The study conducted from a National Health Insurance dataset in Taiwan between 2000 and 2013 has highlighted. Results showed that patients who developed thyroid cancer and leukemia had a significantly higher likelihood of having received CT scans. In studies that combined patients across age groups, exposure to medical CT scans was not associated with increased risk for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. In older patients, the association between exposures to CT scans and non-Hodgkin lymphoma was not evident.

Police detains KSU members demanding CBI inquiry in Walayar case in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Nov 19 (ANI): Police detained several members of Kerala Students Union (KSU) in Thiruvananthapuram on November 19 who are demanding Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the Walayar case. The protestors are demanding CBI probe in alleged rape and murder of two minor girls, which took place in 2017 along with their other demands. Police also used water cannons to disperse the protesters.

The suspects carried robbery of Rs 30 lakh 26 thousand from South Bihar Gramin Bank. After committing the robbery, the criminals escaped from the spot while firing in the air. Few people were injured during the incident, including the bank manager.

Nepal stadium renovation sluggish just two weeks before South Asian Games

Kathmandu (Nepal), Nov 19 (ANI): The renovation work at the Dasarath Stadium is yet to be completed, though only two weeks are left for the opening ceremony of the 13th South Asian Games, partly owing to delay in the delivery of the required materials from China. The stadium is slated to host the opening the ceremony of the tournament on December 1 along with a majority of the games. The process of installing chairs for spectators is still underway while the construction of the VVIP block is yet to gain momentum. This is the third time Nepal is holding the games. A total of seven nations have confirmed their participation in the tournament which will be held in Kathmandu and Pokhara cities of the Himalayan nation. As many as 3,250 athletes will take part in the tournament, including 648 from Nepal, 521 from India, 612 from Sri Lanka, and 591 from Bangladesh.
