Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor leave Mumbai airport for 'Baaghi 3' schedule

Mumbai, Nov 08 (ANI): Bollywood's two talented actors, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor will be once again seen together on the silver screen with 'Baaghi 3'. Actor Tiger was seen at Mumbai Airport. Sporting an all black look, Tiger looked super hot. Actor Shraddha was also seen at the airport and she kept her look comfy. Meanwhile, 'Gully Boy' famed Vijay Verma also joined the star-cast. Vijay will be playing Tiger's ally in the film. Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor were last seen together in 'Baaghi'.

Devotees celebrate 'Dev Uthani Ekadashi' in Varanasi

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 08 (ANI): The whole nation celebrated 'Dev Uthani Ekadashi' on Nov 08. Devotees took a holy dip in River Ganga in UP's Varanasi. On this day, devotees pray for healthy and happy married life. 'Dev Uthani' translates to waking up a God, and 'Ekadashi' translates to the 11th day. So Dev Uthani Ekadashi translates to waking up a God on the 11th day, which is when Lord Vishnu is awakened.

Cyclone 'Bulbul' to cross West Bengal and Bangladesh coast during early hours of Nov 10: IMD

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Nov 08 (ANI): 'Pamban Port Storm Perilous Alert No. 2 Cage' mounted at Pamban Bridge in Tamil Nadu's Rameswaram on November 08. It was mounted in the view of severe cyclonic storm 'Bulbul'. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the severe Cyclonic Storm 'Bulbul' was intensified into 'very severe Cyclonic Storm' on Nov 08. It will cross West Bengal and Bangladesh coast across Sundarbans Delta during early hours of 10th November. Cyclone 'Bulbul' over the Bay of Bengal is set to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm, triggering heavy rain in parts of Odisha and West Bengal.

Smog canopies Delhi, air quality dips to 'poor' category

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): A layer of smog blankets the national capital on November 08. Air quality of Delhi took major hit due to a combination of stubble burning and firecracker emissions. According to Air Quality Index (AQI), major pollutants in Delhi's Lodhi Road area were PM 2.5 at 241 and PM 10 at 238. To curb air pollution, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi has announced implementation of odd-even scheme from Nov 04-15.

'Skills on Wheels' introduced to take digital education to rural AP

Amaravati (AP), Nov 08 (ANI): State Skill Development Corporation launched 'Skills on Wheels' bus from Amaravati, to provide digital education in rural areas of the state. The bus will cover six districts of the state - Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Anantapur, and Kurnool. Speaking to ANI, Andhra State Skill Development Corporation Chairman Challa Madhusudhan Reddy said, "Through this, we'll impart computer education to schoolchildren, unemployed youth and Self Help Group members. We'll also educate them about govt schemes available for them. The bus will be in each dist for 20-40 days each."

Regular physical activity lowers fracture risk in older women

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): Keeping the body moving through physical activity does not only ensure the overall well-being, but it also reduces the risk of hip or any other fracture in older women. The study highlighting the comprehensive evaluation of physical activity and fracture incidence in postmenopausal women was published in JAMA Network Open. To establish a relation between the two, researchers included over 77,000 participants in the Women's Health Initiative, who were followed up over 14 years. During the follow-up, 33 per cent of participants reported experiencing at least one fracture.Women who did the highest amount of physical activity which was approximately 35 minutes or more of daily recreational and household activities had an 18 per cent lower risk of hip fracture and 6 per cent lower risk of total fracture. "Modest activities, including walking, can significantly reduce the risk of fracture, which can, in turn, lower the risk of death," Wactawski-Wende suggested.

Community fridge set up to check food waste, feed needy in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 08 (ANI): Andheri residents have set up a community fridge to reduce food wastage and provide food to the underprivileged people. People can get food from the fridge anytime between 1 PM and 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM daily. The initiative was started by the residents of Andheri and Versova Welfare Association. The aim is to check food wastage and use the extra food to feed the needy. Speaking to ANI, Afzal Ansari, who uses the community fridge said, "We come here at 12 o'clock for food. We get it by 1 PM to 2 PM. We are happy to get food as we are jobless." The food is provided by nearby eateries, residents of the area and members of the Versova Welfare Society.

Google builds App Defense Alliance to fight bad apps

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): Malicious apps are plaguing app stores and Google wants to fight them better. The search giant announced the launch of App Defense Alliance that will help stop the bad apps from reaching the official app stores. As the official blog notes, the App Defense Alliance will ensure the safety of the Google Play Store by quickly finding potentially harmful apps and stopping them from being published. Google has partnered with ESET, Lookout, and Zimperium to form the App Defense Alliance. It will use technologies including machine learning and static/dynamic analysis to detect abusive behaviour.

Congress protests outside Delhi Secretariat over skyrocketing onion prices

New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee on November 07 staged a protest outside Delhi Secretariat over soaring prices of onions in the capital. The protest was helmed by DPCC president Subhash Chopra. The protestors showed their aggression by wearing garlands of onions. They blamed Delhi government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the onion price hike and not taking any actions against it. Onion prices are skyrocketing due to unseasonal rains in producing states.

UP Police conducts drone surveillance in Ayodhya ahead of SC verdict

Ayodhya (UP), Nov 07 (ANI): Ahead of probable verdict in Ayodhya case, Uttar Pradesh Police conducted surveillance with drone in Ayodhya. As more than 4,000 paramilitary personnel have been sent to Ayodhya, the temple town is looking to be turned into a virtual fortress to stop any untoward incident that might pose a threat towards law and order. Security arrangements have also been tightened and Section 144 has already been implemented in Ayodhya as precautionary measures.

CM Gehlot reviews law and order situation in state

Jaipur (Rajasthan), November 07 (ANI): In a meeting to review the law and order situation in the state, organized at Chief Minister's office in Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that government is committed to maintain law and order in the state.In the meeting, CM instructed the officials to speed up the work of setting up of reception in police stations for better hearing of the complainants.Gehlot also gave directions to improve the self-defense training programme for girls given by the police to them and asked to prepare web portals so that interested girls can learn self defence skills through it.The chief minister said that the cyber and economic crime have increased in recent years. So police should use technology along with the services of cyber experts in research of such cases.Chief Minister also reviewed the work being done to prevent organised crime, free registration policy and to improve police functioning in the meeting.

Watch: Indian Navy conducted operational demonstration off Kochi coast

Off Kochi Coast (Arabian Sea), Nov 07 (ANI): The Southern Naval Command of Indian Navy conducted an operational demonstration off Kochi Coast as part of the Navy Week Celebration. Three naval ships INS Tir, INS Sunayna and INS Sujatha along with a Coast Guard vessel participated in the event.
