India has become 3rd biggest successful startup ecosystem in world: PM Modi

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 05 inaugurated fifth Indian International Science Festival in Kolkata through video conference. While addressing, he said that today, India has become third biggest successful startup ecosystem in the world. Thousands of startups have been supported through various policies and financial aids by the government and because of these efforts India has jumped from 81st rank to 52nd rank in Global Innovation Index 2019 in past three years.

Nation is above all, peace should prevail: Shia cleric after meeting with Minority Affairs Minister

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi called a meeting of minority community ahead of Ayodhya verdict at his official residence. Minority community, RSS leaders attended the meeting. After the meeting Shia cleric Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad said that nation is above all and there should be peace whatever the judgment will come. "Whatever the decision of Ayodhya will come everyone should accept it peacefully. Nation is above all and there should be peace whatever the judgment will come," said Jawad. "Whatever decision the Supreme Court delivers, we all must respect it. We will appeal to all to propagate that peace must be maintained," added Jawad. He added that calling more Hindu parties in the meeting for the peace appeal in their areas.

PMC bank scam: Depositors stages protest outside RBI, several detained by police

Mumbai, Nov 05 (ANI): Depositors of Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank (PMC) staged a protest outside Reserve Bank of India on November 05. They have been demanding their deposited money back and an assurance from the officials that their money is safe. Later, the protestors were etained by the police officials. In September, the RBI restricted the activities of the PMC bank for six months and asked it not to grant and renew any loans and advances, make investments or incur any liability, including borrowing of funds and acceptance of fresh deposits after an alleged fraud of Rs. 4,355 crore come to light.

FIRs filed in connection with Saket, Tis Hazari Court incident: Joint CP Devesh Srivastava

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Amid the huge protest of Delhi cops at PHQ, Joint Commissioner of Police (Southern Range), Devesh Srivastava said that FIRs has been registered in connection with Saket and Tis Hazari Court incidents. "All your demands will be accepted. FIRs have also been registered in connection with Saket and Tis Hazari Court incident," he further added. Delhi cops protested against the clash that broke out between police and lawyers at Tis Hazari Court complex on November 02.

RSS, BJP leaders hold meeting at Naqvi's residence ahead of Ayodhya verdict

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): A meeting was held at Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi's residence ahead of Ayodhya verdict on November 05 in Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain and filmmaker Muzaffar Ali were present at the meeting. Muslim clerics and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders were also present. It is expected that the Ayodhya verdict will come later this month.

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): "Police commissioner kaisa ho, Kiran Bedi jaisa ho," Delhi cops boo their boss Amulya Patnaik during the protest outside the Police Head Quarters (PHQ) at ITO. They were protesting against the clash that broke out between police and lawyers at Tis Hazari Court on 2nd November. Kiran Bedi is a retired Indian Police Service officer, social activist, former tennis player and politician, who is the current Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. She is the first woman to join the Indian Police Service.

Tis Hazari Court violence: Police protests leads to traffic slowdown at Delhi's ITO

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Traffic got affected at ITO area due to protest of Delhi Police at the Headquarters on November 05. Despite several urges of top cops to resume duty, protesting personnel have refused to vacate the roads outside the Police Headquarters. The protest comes as a response to the parking row between police officials and lawyers that happened on Saturday (November 02) at the Tis Hazari Court complex.

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Police stage protest at Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Delhi's ITO on November 05. Protest was against the clash that broke out between police and lawyers at Tis Hazari Court complex on November 02. While speaking to mediapersons, Delhi Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik said that FIR has been registered and concerns are being addressed. "FIR has been registered in the incidents in which police personnel were assaulted. We are addressing the anger (of police personnel) caused by these incidents. Discussions are underway, senior officials are addressing all the concerns."

PMC Bank holders protest outside RBI office in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 05 (ANI): Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative (PMC) Bank holders staged protest outside the RBI office in Mumbai. Children were also present in the protest. The protesters were holding placards reading 'innocent people have lost their lives' and 'we demand our money back'. The PMC Bank has been put under restrictions by the RBI after an alleged fraud of Rs 4,355 crore scam came to light. However, till now five people have been arrested in the case.

While addressing the police personnel, Delhi Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik urged police personnel to maintain peace. "In last few days, there have been certain incidents in the capital, which we handled very well. The situation is improving after that. I appeal to all to maintain peace. It's trying time for us. We need to fulfil the responsibility of maintaining law and order. It is expected from us that we the protectors of law will continue to assure law and order in the capital," said Amulya Patnaik.
