New Delhi, June 22 (ANI): It's a personal visit, there is no plan of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after reaching Delhi. "This is a personal visit. I have come here for eye treatment. There is no plan (of meeting PM Modi during the visit). It will depend on PM Modi how and when he does it (Cabinet expansion). We have no information regarding this," said CM Nitish.
New Delhi, June 22 (ANI): During a UN Security Council debate on the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan on June 12, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stressed on development partnership with Afghanistan to make it self-sustaining nation. "India committed to steadfastly supporting Afghanistan during its transition. Our development partnership, including over 550 community development projects covering 34 provinces, is aimed at making it a self-sustaining nation. Additionally, we have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Afghanistan for building the Shatoot dam, which would provide safe drinking water to the residents of Kabul city," Said EAM Jaishankar at UNSC.

Siliguri (West Bengal) June 08 (ANI): Amid difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic when the ambulance drivers are charging hefty amounts to ferry patients infected with the virus, Munmun Sarkar, a 49-year-old woman and resident of Siliguri's Saktigarh, has extended a helping hand to the sufferers. Munmun, the first woman e-rickshaw driver in North Bengal, turned her e-rickshaw into an ambulance. She has been providing 24 hours, free-of-cost rides to COVID-19 patients. "Last year during the time of COVID-19 pandemic, ambulance drivers were taking too much money from the family members of the COVID-19 patients. At that time I decided to turn my e-rickshaw into an ambulance and started ferrying COVID positive patients in free of cost." she said, She also drops them back to their homes in her e-rickshaw. Munmun even sanitizes the homes of COVID-19 patients, and places like police stations, crematoriums, and religious places.
