Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir), Jan 21 (ANI): Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat addressed a 'Public Outreach Programme' in JandK's Kathua. Speaking to mediapersons, Shekhawat said, "With a budget of Rs 10,400 crore we're in the process of connecting 11 lakh houses of Jammu and Kashmir. We've kept the target of providing safe drinking water to every house by Dec 2021 and we'll surely achieve it."
Bengaluru, Jan 21 (ANI): Scores of slum dwellers were left homeless after their huts were razed in Bengaluru's Kariyammana Agrahara area, after it was claimed that the settlement belonged to illegal Bangaldeshi immigrants. The electricity and water supply have also been cut off. Locality mostly comprises of migrants from Assam, Tripura, and from North Karnataka. They were allegedly asked to vacate the land. According to the BBMP Mayor M Goutham Kumar, BBMP officials not demolished the huts. An assistant executive engineer gave the orders but he is unaware about who undertook the task. Recently, BJP MLA Arvind Limbavalli tweeted a video of shantytowns in Kariyammana Agrahara area, claiming that the settlement belongs to illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.

CRPF personnel carried the woman through the jungles of village Padeda in district Bijapur to help her reach hospital. Villages in district lack adequate road connectivity.
Chandigarh, Jan 21 (ANI): Brig (Retd) Kuldeep Singh Kehlon on January 21 shared his views on detention camps being spotted in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area. He said that Pakistan is working with China and detention camps are happening in Balochistan because of the One Belt One Road (OBOR). "Pakistan is working with China and it is happening in Balochistan because of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) which passes through balochistan. Balochistan Liberation Army has been apposing because there are natural resources and they know that the army will destroy the freedom, struggle, so now they have adopted these detention camps similar on the lines of the Beijing," said defence expert retired brigadier Kuldeep Singh Kehlon. According to government sources, Pakistan is running dozens of 'deradicalisation' camps. A few thousands are in such camps. There are more than 80% people in camps with less than 35 years of age. 12% are less than 18 years of age.

The indoor stadium is constructed by the JandK State Sports Council. Speaking at the event, he said, "Cycle track and yoga centre will be constructed at the complex".
Amritsar (Punjab), Jan 21 (ANI): As the date for Union Budget 2020 is nearing, farmers are anticipating better budget allocation for the farming sector. Farmers are demanding to have a separate budget for farming. They are also demanding to have a separate provision for the price of crops. General Secretary of farmers' rights group, Kisan Sangharsh Committee, Sarwan Singh said, "Government is saying that they will double the farmers income but we don't have any roadmap as of now. Modi government has also ruined Swaminathan report." Swaminathan Commission formed by former UPA government said that farmers need assured access over natural resources such as land and water. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present Union Budget 2020 on February 01.

He said, "I am fighting elections on NCP ticket. I got offer to fight elections from all parties but I chose NCP. I will reveal more information tomorrow." Delhi Assembly elections will be held on 8 February and the results will be declared on 11 February.
Lucknow (UP), Jan 21 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 21 said that those who raise slogans against "Bharat Mata" will be put behind bars by him. "Anti-India slogans were raised inside the JNU. Tell me, people who talks about breaking India into 1000 pieces should be put behind bars or not? If slogans against the Motherland will be raised, I will put them behind bars," Shah said at a public rally in Lucknow where he addressed a gathering for BJP's 'Jan Jagaran Abhiyaan' - the party's campaign to spread awareness about CAA.

New Delhi, Jan 21(ANI): Much awaited mystery thriller 'Chehre' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi has been postponed to17th July 2020. Chehre has been moved from its earlier April release date on a special request by the makers of 'Gulabo Sitabo'. The film is directed by Rumi Jafry. New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Director General of Railway Protection Force (RPF), Arun Kumar said that an organised e-ticketing racket was busted which might be linked to terror financing. Arun Kumar said, "We're a step ahead in operation against e-ticketing racket. We've unearthed an oragnised gang. Its kingpin is probably sitting in Dubai. We're investigating the members of the gang, the manner in which the money is going to banks and some companies. It seems that the money generated through this gang was misused against internal security."
New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP leader Sunil Yadav, who is fighting the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi constituency, on Tuesday said that this election will be fought on "local versus outsider". He said, "People need a local MLA, not a CM, who addresses their problems. They want their representative to stay with them. Arvind Kejriwal left this area and bought a house in Civil Lines. He doesn't spend time with people here. People have to make an appointment to meet and tell their problems. This election will be local versus outsider." Delhi Assembly elections will be held on 8 February and the results will be declared on 11 February.

He said, "Around 20-25 candidates are sitting at RO office without proper nomination papers, even without names of 10 proposers. They're insisting unless their papers are complete file nomination, they won't allow Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to file nomination. BJP is behind these people." Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from New Delhi seat, Arvind Kejriwal is yet to file his nomination.
New Delhi, Jan21 (ANI): Equity Benchmark indices traded lower while the IMF trimmed its global growth forecast. BSE SandP Sensex closed 205 points lower at 41,324. Meanwhile, Nifty 50 slipped by 55 points at 12,170. Zee Entertainment, Coal India, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bharat Petroleum Corporation witnessed marginal gains. Auto stocks were also down with Tata Motors slipping by 2.4%, Mahindra and Mahindra by 2.8% and Maruti by 2%.

Lucknow (UP), Jan 21 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 21 compared the opposition parties with crows over their criticism of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought CAA, and the opposition including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and company started doing "kau kau kau" like a crow. Shah made the remarks at a public rally in Lucknow during his 'Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' to spread awareness about CAA. CAB became a law after President Ram Nath Kovind attested the bill on December 12, 2019. CAA officially came into effect on January 10, 2020.
