New Delhi, Jan 19 (ANI): Delhi president of Bharatiya Janata Party Manoj Tiwari on January 19 slammed Delhi Government's recently launched 'guarantee card'. He said that CM Arvind Kejriwal is giving guarantee now after five years of governance, means Delhi was without guarantee for five years. "There is no guarantor now, and AAP's warranty has ended, so there is no guarantee after the expiry date," said Tiwari.

He said that there is a need to deradicalize Muslim youth including children, particularly in Kashmir. Shockingly, he said such camps are existing." "We ask the Modi government to come clean and tell the country whether these camps exist or not. If they exist, is the Army running them? This sort of instrument is the biggest one that has been used globally against minorities", said Yechury.
New Delhi, Jan 19 (ANI): Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on January 19 said that the idea of freedom can acquire shape and form the lives of our people only if they can live as equal citizens under the law. "The institutions of our liberal and libertarian democracy have been put to test on several occasions when fundamental freedom was threatened, these institutions nurtured over the years need to be strengthened and must assert themselves in defence of our constitution," said Singh. Alappuzha (Kerala), Jan 19 (ANI): Setting an example of communal harmony, a mosque in Alappuzha's Kayamkulam opened its gate for a Hindu wedding ceremony. A Hindu couple tied knot at Cheruvally Muslim Jamaat Mosque on January 19. After the girl's mother was unable to raise money for the wedding, the mosque committee decided to help her and the marriage was performed as per Hindu rituals.

Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 19 (ANI): Mortal remains of Army personnel who lost his life in avalanche in Siachen glacier were brought to his native place in UP's Kanpur. Dharmendra lost his life on January 13 after heavy snowfall and avalanche hit the region. Family and loved ones gathered to pay last respects to Army personnel. Slain soldier was paid full state honours.

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (ANI): NITI Aayog's member VK Saraswat on January 19 clarified his statement on suspension of internet services in Jammu and Kashmir. Denying his statement, Saraswat said that his statement is misquoted and out of context. He also apologized to the people of Jammu and Kashmir if his statement hurt their sentiments. Earlier, a video of Saraswat saying said that suspension of internet services in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 did not have any significant effect on the economy because it is only used to watch 'dirty movies'. "They (politicians) use social media to fuel protests. What difference does it make if there's no internet in Kashmir? What do you watch on internet there? What e-tailing is happening? Besides watching dirty films, you do nothing," He made this statement in Gujarat's Gandhinagar on January 18.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi coded the National Crime Records Bureau reports. "At an average, 36 self-employed people ended their lives every day in 2018, with the two categories together accounting for 26,085 suicide deaths during the year, according to data compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB)," said Singhvi.

He said, "Schoolchildren were forced to stand in long queues without slippers due to which many have fallen ill. A school teacher in Darbhanga's Keoti has also died. This is only because of the arrogance of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar." He further added, "When there were floods, no helicopter was in sight but for video recording of human chain formations today, 15-16 helicopters were used. So much money has been wasted over it."
