Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Dec 26 (ANI): Three specially-abled children were buried neck-deep on solar eclipse in Karnataka. Children were buried at Taj Sultanpur village in Kalaburagi on the morning of December 26 during solar eclipse as parents believed that their children will be cured of deformities by this. People across the world witnessed the last solar eclipse of 2019. A solar eclipse occurs, when the moon comes in between the earth and the sun, and when all the three bodies are aligned.

Delhi Police special cell busts fake currency note racket, 5 arrested

New Delhi, Dec 26 (ANI): Special team of Delhi Police busted a fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) racket. DCP Special Cell Pramod Kumar Kushwaha said, "Special cell team busted a Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) racket and arrested 5 people involved in it. Fake Indian currency notes with face value of Rs 54.9 lakhs have been seized."

Owaisi takes aim at PM Modi over Army Chief's remark on anti-CAA protests

Hyderabad, Dec 26 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi responded to Army Chief General Bipin Rawat's comment that people who are leading student protest to carry out violence are not providing leadership. He said, "His statement undermines the Modi government. Our Prime Minister writes on his website that as a student he participated in protest during emergency. Then, according to Army Chief's statement that was also wrong."Earlier in the day, the Army Chief said that leaders are not those who lead people in inappropriate direction. He added, "As we are witnessing in large number of universities and colleges, students the way they are leading masses and crowds to carry out arson and violence in cities and towns. This is not leadership."

Mamata announces Rs 5 lakh compensation to families of those killed in CAA violence in Mangaluru

Kolkata, Dec 26 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in Mangaluru during anti-CAA protests. She said, "We will do this to show solidarity with these families. I heard that 2 people lost lives during protest opposing CAA and NRC in North Bengal. Centre should look into it." CM Mamata Banerjee continued her protest opposing Citizenship Amendment Bill and National Register of Citizens in Kolkata today. Protestors including TMC workers and supporters came out in large number to participate in the protest march.

Chautala said, "He is a senior leader, if he has some grievance, he can come and tell the party members. We've not received his resignation yet. Armed robbers loot material worth lakhs from transformer at power station in Shamli
