Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

The two-wheeler industry has the potential to grow at 8-9 per cent CAGR in the long term, drawing from the momentum of GST rate cut, government's spending on infrastructure and overall growth of the economy, according to TVS Motor Company CEO KN Radhakrishnan.
The first half of the next year is also expected to be "very good" in terms of sales growth, as the benefits of the GST rate cut will continue to come into the industry, he told analysts.
"Overall, I'm a firm believer that 8 per cent to 9 per cent as a CAGR, you can look at on a long-term basis...," Radhakrishnan said when asked about the growth prospects of the two-wheeler industry for the next fiscal on the back of strong performance in Q3.
In Q4, the benefit of the GST rate cut, which was implemented on September 22 last year, will be seen, he added.
"The first half of the next year (fiscal) is also going to be very good because the benefits will come into the industry," he noted.

French liquor major Pernod Ricard has ruled out an IPO of its India business as part of its deleveraging strategy, even as it reported a 4 per cent rise in net sales in the country.
With growth accelerating to 8 per cent after excluding Imperial Blue, a brand that has now been disposed of and closed by the French Liquor major, it expects the momentum to continue in the second half of FY'26, its Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Alexandre Ricard said.
The company, which follows a July-to-June fiscal year, has achieved this growth despite a challenging first quarter, which was "severely impacted" by a very strong tax increase in Maharashtra, said Ricard on the post-earnings call last week.
"We expect to see this momentum continue over the second half (H2)," he said in his opening remarks.
