Danapur is part of the Pataliputra region and is considered important due to its proximity to the capital and urban-rural mix. Former Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav will contest as the BJP contestant from Danapur in 2025. During the last election, Rit Lal Ray from RJD won the seat with 89,895 votes while BJP’s Asha Devi was the runner-up with 73,971 votes.
