About Mokama

Mokama

Mokama has long been synonymous with RJD’s Anant Kumar Singh, the strongman often called “Chhote Sarkar.” His grip on the constituency dates back to the 1990s, though his wife Neelam Devi held the seat in 2022 after his disqualification under the UAPA. Singh was later acquitted and is now expected to promote one of his sons for the 2025 contest.

In the last election, Singh garnered 78,721 votes to gain a comfortable victory over JD(U)’s Rajiv Lochan who got 42,964.
