About Ram Kripal Yadav

Ram Kripal Yadav

Ram Kripal Yadav, a senior BJP leader and former Union Minister, has re-entered the state-level political battlefield as one of the key faces for the BJP in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. His candidacy marks a strategic move by the party to strengthen its base in the Patna region and reclaim influence among backward classes traditionally aligned with the RJD.

Ram Kripal Yadav has been fielded by the BJP from the Danapur Assembly constituency, located on the outskirts of Patna, where he faces a high-profile contest against RJD’s Ritlal Yadav, a strongman with a localized following. This seat is symbolically important — it lies adjacent to Pataliputra, the parliamentary constituency that Ram Kripal represented as MP after defeating Misa Bharti, daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav, in 2014.
