Siemens Ltd on Tuesday reported an over 18 per cent decline in its net profit to Rs 343 crore in the June quarter, mainly due to volatility in commodity prices, foreign exchange and an increase in material costs. The net profit was Rs 422 crore in the year-ago quarter, a company statement said. Its revenue from operations increased to Rs 4,714 crore in the quarter from Rs 4,108 crore a year ago. The company said profitability was impacted by volatility in commodity prices, foreign exchange, and an increase in material costs. New orders increased to Rs 6,328 crore in the quarter from Rs 5,431 crore a year ago. Siemens Ltd has reported over 7 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 485 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. It had clocked a net profit (or profit after tax) of Rs 523 crore in the July-September period a year ago, the company said in a statement on Friday. However, the company saw its revenue from operations grow 16 per cent to Rs 5,171 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 4,457 crore in the year- ago period. "We delivered a robust performance this quarter, with a surge in revenue, driven by strong performance in our mobility and smart infrastructure businesses while digital Industries volumes were impacted due to a lower reach in the order backlog from the previous year and muted private sector capex," MD and CEO Sunil Mathur said. Siemens Energy India on Monday posted an over 80 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 263 crore in June quarter compared to a year ago, mainly on the back of higher revenues. It had a net profit of Rs 146 crore in the quarter ended June 2024, a company statement stated. The company follows the financial year from October to September. Revenues from operations rose to Rs 1,785 crore in the quarter from Rs 1,484 crore in the same period a year ago. New orders during the quarter rose to Rs 3,290 crore from Rs 1,693 crore recorded a year ago. The company explained that the new order growth was primarily due to large orders received during the quarter given the robust demand both in domestic as well as export markets. Siemens on Friday said it has secured two orders worth Rs 773 crore for providing advanced signalling and telecommunication technologies for Nagpur Metro Rail from Mahrashtra Metro Rail Corporation. The total time frame for project execution is about 42 months, a company statement said. According to the statement, Siemens Ltd has received two separate orders from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MAHA-METRO) aggregating to approximately Rs 773 crore. The orders are for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a Communication-Based Train Control signalling technology for the Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase 2 (with augmentation of Phase 1), and advanced telecommunication technologies for the same phase. Covering 32 stations across a 43.8-kilometre network, the project leverages Siemens' Metro Rail technologies to enhance train frequency, improve passenger experience,and ensure the highest safety standards. The technologies will enable 100 per
