AMW appoints R N Rao as Director-sales
Rao will be responsible for marketing, sales, service, product development
Heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer Asia Motors Works (AMW) has appointed R N Rao as Director, Sales and Marketing.
Rao, a mechanical engineer, to be based in Mumbai, would be responsible for marketing, sales, service and product development, a company statement said.
Beginning his career with Lucas TVS and Ashok Leyland, Rao has worked in several management positions in the company with over 30 years of experience, it said.
"Rao's rich experience in the commercial vehicles industry in India will help AMW achieve its aggressive plans of growth," AMW Managing Director and CEO Anirudh Bhuwalka said.
The company has 123 dealerships and over 1,500 touch points across the country.
AMW offers trucks ranging from 16 to 49 tonnes and has a fully integrated manufacturing facility in Bhuj, Gujarat, with a planned capacity of 50,000 commercial vehicles per annum, the statement added.
