BCCI scouts for IPL title sponsor
DLF had the title sponsorship rights of the series since its inception in 2008 BCCI looks at double of what DLF paid

The search for a new title sponsor for the Indian Premier League (IPL) is still on as the Delhi-based real estate major DLF has decided against renewing its deal. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has today floated a fresh tender for awarding title sponsorship.
As per the notice, the title sponsorship rights will be awarded for a period of five years, from 2013 to 2017. The IPL title sponsorship tender document will be available from October 27 at the BCCI, Cricket Centre, Mumbai.
DLF had the title sponsorship rights of the tournament from its inception (2008) till 2012. The company had paid Rs 250 crore for the same. Now the BCCI is looking at a sponsorship double of what DLF had paid. DLF had time till July 28 to renew the contract, but it did not do it.
The cost of the tender is Rs 2 lakh.
