The 14-storeyed Rs 2.5-billion project, which is coming up in Gujarat International Finance-Tec (GIFT) City, will have the National Stock Exchange (NSE) as its anchor tenant, said group chairman and managing director MR Jaishankar.
The BIFC SEZ (special economic zone) is also coming up with a hotel property, called Grand Mercure GIFT City, which would be completed in a year and be managed by French multinational hospitality company AccorHotels.
“Since GIFT City is a specialised-financial city, it will start competing with other international markets for currency and bonds trading. In the future, even NSE might start listing foreign companies. That is the idea behind an international SEZ,” said Jaishankar.
