Cipla appoints Saxena as MD, global CEO, M K Hamied as Exec Vice Chairman

Ashok Sinha appointed Additional Director

Subhanu Saxena, currently the chief executive officer of Cipla, has been designated as the managing director and global chief investment officer. M K Hamied, currently joint managing director, has been designated as executive vice-chairman and also been reappointed for a fresh term as a whole time director.

Saxena had joined the company as CEO on February 1, 2013.

In other appointments made to the board of the company, Ashok Sinha has been appointed as the Additional Director.

The decisions regarding the appointments were made at a Board meeting held on July 15, Monday. All appointments will be effective from July 16, 2013.
