Hyderabad-based fertilisers and crop protection products company Coromandel International Limited reported a 20.52 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 115.18 crore for the quarter ended December, 2014, as compared with Rs 95.57 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
Total income from operations rose 7.47 per cent to Rs 2,962.08 crore from Rs 2,756.18 crore in the same period previous quarter.
The company said the entire business undertaking of Sabero Organics, which was acquired by Coromandel, had been transferred to and vested in the company and consequently the scheme had been given effect to in these financial results.
Merger of Sabero would help the company increase its focus and expand its footprint in the crop protection business, said Kapil Mehan, managing director of Coromandel International.
