Leading drug maker Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has set up a new sales marketing arm in Poland.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>The company has acquired seven established medicine <BR>brands from Iceland drug major Actavis to kick start its polish operations.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The deal has been carried out through Glenmark's Czech subsidiary <BR>Medicamenta which acquired seven brands from Actavis and Biovena (an <BR>affiliate of Actavis in Poland) for an undisclosed sum.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Glenn Saldanha, managing director and CEO, Glenmark said that the portfolio <BR>acquisition will "accelerate growth in a very promising central and east <BR>european market".</P></p></table>
