HCL Technologies opens testing lab in Chennai

HCL Technologies today announced the opening of its Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Durability Test Lab located in Chennai.

The lab has the ISO / IEC 17025 accreditation from National Board for Accreditation of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, India (NABL).

Targeting manufacturing organizations and product design centers in India and abroad who are faced with the twin challenges of speed-to-market and ensuring their products complies with global certification standards, this lab will offer round the clock testing on a flexible basis for full compliance test operations and shorter turn around time. The lab offers a product development service continuum and integrates product design, into prototype testing for both EMI / EMC and environmental testing, the company said in a release to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

G H Rao, corporate vice president, engineering - R & D services, HCL, said, "The technology lab has been designed to address the need of product companies for a EMI / EMC and environmental testing lab to reduce the lead time for new product introduction and provide a comprehensive testing solution."

The state of the art technology lab will aim to deliver best quality testing services to varied manufacturers across different segments such as medical devices, consumer electronics, automotive scientific equipment manufacturers, power, networking and telecom etc.

"The lab will offer hardware product companies the complete spectrum of services for their product lifecycle," Rao said.
