Kingfisher Red discontinues free meals on board

Kingfisher Airlines has discontinued complimentary meals on Kingfisher Red from January 15.
Guest can buy meals (breakfast, refreshments, lunch or dinner) at Rs 200, the airline said today in a mailer to its frequent fliers. Like other budget carriers globally, the airline will also sell other small bites (health bar, cake slice or peanuts), hot and cold beverages for Rs 50 each.
Hot meals, however, will not be available on its ATR (turboprops) flights, where it will serve only the cold menu.
