Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Fintech firm One97 Communications, which owns the Paytm brand, plans to infuse Rs 100 crore in its wealth tech arm Paytm Money, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Incorporated in 2017, Paytm Money is engaged in providing investment and wealth management services, including stock broking, mutual fund distribution, and other financial services.
"Additional investment by the company, by way of subscription, to the equity shares of its wholly owned subsidiary, namely Paytm Money Limited (PML) by way of a rights issue for an amount up to Rs 100 crore, subject to the necessary approvals, as applicable," Paytm said in a late-night filing on Monday.
The company expects to close the transaction by September 30.
"PML is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. Issuance of up to 10 crore (Ten crore) additional equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each by PML, pursuant to the Rights Issue, will not result in a change in shareholding of the company in PML, which remains at 100 per cent,"

Punjab National Bank (PNB) managing director and CEO Ashok Chandra has said that the bank would enter into acquisition finance in the third quarter of the current financial year as the RBI recently opened the window for lenders.
Earlier this year, the Reserve Bank came out with final guidelines on acquisition finance by banks, increasing the lending limit to up to 75 per cent of the deal value from the 70 per cent proposed in the draft rules.
"The acquisition finance market is a very, very big market and ample opportunities are there in the system. We have got our policy approved for the acquisition financing in the last board meeting," he told PTI in an interview.
"We are looking for a good partner and then maybe from Q3 onwards, we will be initiating some work in the acquisition financing," he said.
To begin with, he said, the bank would be starting acquisition finance with the domestic entities, and this will help the bank to diversify their asset portfolio.
