Piramal Enterprises Q4 net loss at Rs 200 cr

Net sales in Q4 were Rs 926.93 crore as against Rs 633.57 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal

Piramal Enterprises Ltd today posted consolidated net loss of Rs 200.41 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.

The company had posted net loss of Rs 38.68 crore in the January-March quarter of the 2011-12 fiscal.

Net sales in Q4 were Rs 926.93 crore as against Rs 633.57 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, Piramal Enterprises said in a filing to the BSE.

It said the 2012-13 results were not comparable to the previous fiscal due to the acquisition of Decision Resources Group in June 2012.

For the year ended March 31, 2013, the company posted net loss of Rs 227.29 crore. It had posted a net profit of Rs 111.50 crore in the same period of 2011-12 fiscal.
 

The company's board recommended a dividend of Rs 17.5 per share of face value of Rs 2 (875%) for the financial year ended March 31, 2013.

Piramal Enterprises scrip closed at Rs 544.95 on the BSE, down 0.54% from its previous close.
