Promac Engineering forms JV with TEC of Japan
The JV company would facilitate Promac to foray into large size cement plants with capacities up to 2 mn tonnes per annum

Promac Engineering Industries Limited, the Bangalore-based heavy engineering company, has announced a joint venture company with their technical collaborator and Japanese cement technology major Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation (TEC) to foray into large size cement plants.
Tokyo-based TEC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (TCC). TCC has a total installed capacity of 40 million tonnes cement clinker per annum in Japan, USA and in several Pacific Rim countries.
The JV company, Taiheiyo Promac Engineering Private Limited would facilitate Promac to foray into large size cement plants with capacities up to 2 million tonnes per annum, J Surendra Reddy, chairman and managing director, Promac said.
For the past 25 years, Promac in technical collaboration with Taiheiyo has set up several cement plants in India, Africa, West Asia and Latin America.
Haruo Tsuyuki, president, Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation said the new JV company would provide process and engineering technology based on their expertise.
