Reliance Power reported a 3 per cent rise in net profit on higher income in the March quarter of FY15 in comparison to same period last year. Profit rose marginally to Rs 276 crore against Rs 268 crore in the fourth quarter of last year. Operating income grew 22 per cent to Rs 1,584 crore while total income rose 20 per cent to Rs 1,681 crore.
Reliance Power commissioned 660 MW unit of Sasan ultra mega power plant in this quarter thereby making the entire 3960 MW plant fully operational. The company said its total generation capacity has increased to 5945 MW.
