Tata Motors expects demand for trucks to remain strong for the next two years on back of the improving performance of the core sectors, pick up in infrastructure projects and implementation of BSVI emission norms in 2020 that is likely to prompt transporters to advance purchase, said Girish Wagh, president (commercial vehicle business unit), Tata Motors. Truck sales in India - a proxy for economic activity, have been on a rise in eight out of nine months of the current financial year.
