Liquor firm United Breweries Ltd (UBL) on Friday reported a 28 per cent year-on-year decline in its stand-alone net profit to Rs 40 crore for the quarter ended December.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 55 crore a year ago.
Net sales were Rs 896 crore in the quarter, up four per cent from Rs 859 crore a year ago, United Breweries said in a filing to the National Stock Exchange.
Shares on Friday closed at Rs 1,012 on the NSE, up four per cent from the previous close.
