Videocon Telecom today said it aims to generate Rs 2,500 crore revenue by 2014-15 fiscal from the four circles it operates in.
The company has spectrum in seven circles, but offers services only in Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh/Chattisgarh and Gujarat circles.
"We will be doing business of around Rs 1,000 crore this year in the four circles and by next financial year, we will be aiming at Rs 2,500 crore," Videocon Telecom Director and CEO Arvind Bali told PTI.
The company, earlier called Videocon Mobile Services, is planning to spend Rs 150 crore in the next one year on marketing to popularise its new brand.
"We are investing a lot on marketing, acquiring new customers...," Bali said.
The company has also roped in Punjabi actor and singer Gippy Grewal as brand ambassador and has unveiled a new logo.
Asked about launch of services in circles of Bihar, UP East and UP West, Bali said that in 2-3 months, the company is likely to get a go ahead from its board after which it will take 6-8 months to start operations.
Videocon's 21 licences were among the 122 permits quashed in the 2G case by the Supreme Court on February 2, 2012. It had acquired permits to operate across all circles in 2008.
The company in November 2012 auctions won spectrum in six circles for Rs 2,221.44 crore.
It had over 22 lakh customers at the end of May this year and aims to add about 60 lakh subscribers in 2013-14. The company also plans to launch fourth generation (4G) services by July-August next year.
It has a Unified Licence, which allows it to provide the entire range of services including 2G, 3G and 4G.
