The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday decided to file another perjury charge against advocates Prashant Bhushan (in picture) and Kamini Jaiswal of the Centre for Public Interest Litigation (CPIL) for making false allegation against the agency Director Ranjit Sinha in scams related to coal allocation and grant of telecom licences.
"The CBI has filed one more application of perjury against Prashant Bhushan, the petitioner association CPIL, and Kamini Jaiswal for making deliberate and intentional false statements on oath and before the Supreme Court," said a CBI spokesperson.
The first perjury application was moved in the first week of this month against both the lawyers.

Bhushan and Jaiswal have accused the CBI director of allegedly interfering into the probe and showing "favour" to the high-profile accused in both the cases. As a proof, Bhushan has provided a list of those accused who have frequently visited Sinha's residence during the course of investigation and trial of the cases.
The CBI director has denied all the allegations against him.
