Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Thursday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to "slap several false cases" against AAP leader Manish Sisodia to keep him in jail for a long time.
His comments came after the CBI registered an FIR against Sisodia and others in connection with the Delhi Government's Feedback Unit (FBU) which has been accused of doing political snooping.
Karnataka bribe case: Lokayukta to file another case against accused BJP MLA
The Lokayukta sleuths are preparing to file another case against BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa, accused in a bribe for tender case, regarding the accumulation of disproportionate wealth, sources said on Thursday.
Sources said that the Lokayukta authorities are upset over the fact that the prime accused in the case, Madal Virupakshappa has obtained bail, whereas the second accused in the case, his son, Prashath Madal has been jailed.
Karnataka govt raises salaries of employees of power companies, transport corporations
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said the government has decided to hike the salaries of employees of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and the Electricity Supply Companies (ESCOMs) in the state by 20 per cent.
He also said the employees of transport corporations will also get a raise of 15 per cent in their salaries.

Vivek Agnihotri to appear before Delhi HC over tweets against judge
The Delhi High Court on Thursday directed filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri to appear before it on April 10 to tender an apology for his tweets against Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, S. Muralidhar.
In December last year, Agnihotri had apologised to the Delhi High Court for his remarks but it had deferred the hearing after recording his submission that he will remain present personally in court for the hearing on March 16.

ED summons Anubrata Mondal's daughter to Delhi again
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued fresh summons to Sukanya Mondal, daughter of Trinamool Congress strongman Anubrata Mondal to be present at athe agency's New Delhi office for questioning in connection with the multi-crore cattle smuggling scam in West Bengal.
In the fresh summon issued on Thursday, she has been asked to be present at the ED headquarter by March 20.
