Infosys on Friday said that the company has gone out of its way to support the family of Raghavendra Ganeshan, its employee who died in the Brussles terror attack in March.
Ganeshan was travelling in a metro train when terrorists struck the Belgian Capital leaving over 33 people dead. His death was later on confirmed by the Indian embassy.
"Unfortunately we will not be able to disclose those amounts, but you be rest assured that the company has gone out of its way. Since he was on line of employment, he will be supported in whatever way, both monetarily and otherwise," Infosys Chief Financial Officer Ranganath D Mavinakere said. "For all our employees we have coverage and on compassionate grounds from our employee trust, we also had a contribution."
Vishal Sikka, CEO & MD of Infosys, who termed the attack as 'senseless' said: "Raghav (Raghavendra) was a very dear employee. Even though we have close to 200,000 employees globally, our endeavor is to work like a family and treat our employees as family members."
