AP proposes 'Green Factory Building Code'

The policy measure aims at rationalisation of land, energy and water utilisation by the industries

The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to enforce 'green factory building code' aiming at rationalisation of land, energy and water utilisation by the industries. The policy initiative is undergoing final discussions, said Rajat Kumar, industries commissioner.

It is also working on setting new benchmarks within the existing 'Industrial Incentive Policy'. "The proposed standards would help extending benefits in a better manner," he said.

He was here for the inauguration of the three-day international conference on 'green enterprises and green industrial parks', being organised jointly by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh, MSME ministry, APIIC and German government-owned GIZ.
