Cabinet gives nod to National Policy on Biofuels

The union cabinet today gave its approval for implementation of the National Policy on Biofuels. It also approved setting up of a National Biofuel Coordination Committee to be headed by the Prime Minister and a Biofuel Steering Committee to be headed by the cabinet secretary. 

However, the minute details of the policy related to level of blending and procurement price have not been made available.
