Cardiac attack fells DG of Chhattisgarh police

| Rathor-- a 1973-batch Indian Police Service (IPC) official""today afternoon went to deliver a lecture at the state police academy on Sadbhavna Diwas to commemorate the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. |
| While speaking on the Maoist menace, Rathor complained of uneasiness and fell unconscious. |
| He was immediately rushed to the Escorts hospital, where efforts by doctors failed to revive him. |
| "There was no pulse nor heart-beat when (Rathor) was admitted in the hospital. The doctors put all systems, but failed. He was declared dead at 1.45 p.m.," doctors at Escorts who attended on Rathor said. |
