CPI-IW inflation drops to 9.3%

Inflation based on consumer prices of items consumed by industrial workers (CPI-IW) dropped marginally in January 2011 to 9.3 per cent as compared to 9.47 per cent in December 2010. However, inflation based on food items consumed by these workers rose to 10.22 per cent in January 2011 as compared to 7.98 per cent in December 2010.
