Global Innovation Index: While traditional scientific power houses Switzerland, Sweden, USA and UK again occupied the top four spots in the global innovation rankings, the most enthusiastic backers of the exercise are now mostly the middle-income Asian countries, particularly those that have broken into the top 50.
