Gopinath has shares worth over Rs 55 cr

Low cost airline pioneer and independent candidate from Bangalore South Parliamentary constituency, G R Gopinath has bonds, debentures and shares in companies worth Rs 55.61 crore as per his affidavit filed along with nomination papers today.

Value of bonds, shares and debentures is as per the latest market value in stock exchange in respect of listed companies and as per books in case of non-listed companies according to the affidavit.

The aviation entrepreneur does not own any motor vehicles, while his wife Bhargavi owns two cars - a BMW worth Rs 28 lakh and a Maruti Swift worth Rs 5 lakh.
